Wonderfully Whimsy with your Friends as "the only way to have a friend is to be one" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). In this mixed media class, Naomi-Jon layered rice paper, distressed gauze and ripped ribbon apart, creating a three-dimensional, textured canvas. From glueing rice paper with a mixture of modelling paste and gel medium matte to scraping the excess along the edges to make it look like we did not forget them (oops ... as it might be a common occurrence). To create this beautiful, mixed media canvas, Naomi suggests having a cloth or baby wipes nearby with a heat tool and water tubs at the ready.
